Maintaining Fiscal Metering Integrity on the N’GOMA Deepwater FPSO, Offshore Angola

Maintaining fiscal metering accuracy on offshore production facilities is essential for production accountability, revenue assurance, and regulatory transparency.

Recently, our team supported the Annual Calibration and Validation of the Complete Fiscal Metering System on the N’GOMA deepwater FPSO, operating within Block 15/06 offshore Angola, part of the West Hub development.

During this campaign, specialists from E.A.T.S. Metering Systems, working in collaboration with our partner ODS Metering Systems, conducted a structured verification program across key components of the fiscal measurement chain, including:

• Flow computer proving and reporting verification
• Flow computer logic validation and configuration review
• Transmitters validation and flow computer inputs calibration
• Metering system operational health checks
• Sampling system and analyzer validation across the custody-transfer chain
• System configuration backup and verification

The campaign was conducted with the participation and witnessing of ANPG, reinforcing regulatory transparency within Angola’s fiscal measurement framework.

We also acknowledge the leadership of Azule Energy, operator of Block 15/06, and the operational excellence of SBM Offshore, whose teams continue to maintain this important offshore production asset to the highest standards.

E.A.T.S. Metering Systems proud to contribute, together with ODS Metering Systems, to maintaining the integrity and reliability of fiscal measurement systems supporting Angola’s offshore energy infrastructure.
